Scorpion: Scorpions are arthropods they 1700+ species but are not insects though they have many properties that resemble to spiders and termites. Scorpions have similar body structure eg their exoskeleton like spider, centipedes, millipedes, the also have jointed appendages and when they are fully grown their body sheds their skin during a process called molting.

Despite the similarities, Scorpions are put in a different class named "Arachnids", which distances them the above similar creatures. Scorpions have eight legs, while spiders have six. Scorpions body is divided in two segments while the spiders have 3. They also don't have any wings or antenna.

Scorpions feed on insects, other scorpions and small animals like lizard or even tiny mammals like Mice. And when they have eaten, they also need to drink water. Scorpions can survive without eating for days.

If we look back in the evolutionary history of Scorpions, they existed 430 millions years ago during Silurian period. They adapted environmental changes and are found across all continents except Antarctica.

All scorpions have venomous sting but the majority doesn't pose serious threat to humans. There are still around 25 species of Scorpions which have enough poisonous sting that can be fatal to humans.

The Biggest scorpion that lives on earth is "Emperor Scorpion". The largest Scorpion ever measured was about 9 inches or 23 cm in length.

This stunning creature comes to mope and shivers Mope world to death. Watch out this monster creature and stay away!
